Behind the scenes on my shopping tours

Have you ever treated yourself to a shopping tour? It’s the ultimate in shopping indulgence! A Shop with Sarah shopping tour is a full day of exploring new stores in South Australia… it’s about being immersed in beautiful interiors and homeware inspiration.

Planning my shopping tours is a chance to get out and visit some of my favourite stores, as well as discovering new gems. I love unearthing small, bespoke stores full of quality South Australian and Australian products, or beautiful, well-crafted items sourced from around the globe. I only choose retailers I would buy from myself – so you can rest assured that your shopping day has been curated with care and passion.

The main inspiration behind my shopping tours is getting people out to experience the items you purchase for your home; get a sense of the colours, fabrics and textures.  This is a chance to embrace real-time shopping and most importantly, support our local traders, who put so much effort into creating memorable shopping experiences.

Our City-Hills Tour is one of my most popular days out and always starts in Norwood. We begin at Brick and Mortar Café, a gorgeous café and retail hub showcasing talented local artists. It’s a great place to greet everyone, get into the shopping vibe and treat yourself to a great cup of coffee before the day gets underway.

From Norwood, we all hop aboard our chauffeured mini bus and get underway. We’ll visit three locations in the morning and three in the afternoon, each with it’s own individual vibe. I like to mix up my tours, so each itinerary will be a little different. Of course, there are special VIP offers for you at each location as a Shop with Sarah shopper – and a goodie bag full of surprises at the end of the day!

To make the most of your day, I recommend a little forethought. You might like to take a photo of an area in the house that needs a lift, make a list of any items you’ve seen while out shopping or browsing in magazines – and I always recommend you bring along your bestie, someone who knows you and your taste, to add to the fun! And don’t forget, I’m on hand every step of the way to share my thoughts, if you need.
