City of Adelaide Walking Shopping Tour Recap
On Saturday 2nd December I was lucky enough to host my first City Of Adelaide walking shopping tour – and what a fun day it was!
I am passionate about supporting our South Australian stores, artists and makers so this was the perfect chance to introduce the lucky shoppers who joined me for the day to some of my favourite stores in the city.
But first things first it always has to start with coffee. Larry & Ladd in Regent Arcade was the perfect way to start our day before heading off to explore some of my favourites along the strip. Have You Met Charlie, Hebe & Co and One Hectare all made us feel terribly welcome and we made sure we snapped up some bargains.
After nearly an hour of shopping you need a little sustenance right? Thank you Haighs, your chocolates were just what we needed before visiting the incredible Home Supply on Grenfell Street. This hidden gem is packed full of colour, art, furniture, ceramics and the most incredibly curated range of books anywhere in the city. Pure joy!
Lunch was calling and Sukha Life delivered, all the way from Hutt Street, thank you girls! We topped up with smoothie bowls, salads and juices in Hindmarsh Square and were ready to begin the final leg of our shopping journey.
The Tangerine Fox is a fun eclectic store full of fabulous, quirky gifts for someone who enjoys a laugh, there is really nothing like it in the city – a must visit for all ages.
Time to hit the East End and Ebeneezer Place just bursts with fabulous stores. We were lucky enough to visit Relove, full of products from local South Australian makers, before heading to Leonard St, an eclectic print living fashion label store for both women and kids. One word…cute!
Bauhaus was our final store for the day and we finished on a cloud of colour, texture and earthiness – so much jewellery, homewares, art and did I mention unique handmade Christmas decorations? Amazing!
After all that shopping it was time to rest our feet and enjoy a toast to our purchases and shopping buddies. What a lovely group of ladies, I couldn’t have picked a livelier bunch of women if I tried! We certainly deserved our Mothervine cheese platter and bubbles.
Merry Christmas! Let’s do it again next year! Thank you City Of Adelaide and all the wonderful stores and businesses, you made our day.
